PPE Cinema: Fall 2026

The PPE Cinema brings together faculty, students, and members of the public to watch and discuss great films that raise questions in philosophy, politics, and economics. Food and beverages will be provided.

September 24, 2026 (6:30 pm): Anora

Sean Baker’s film Anora tells the turbulent love story of a New York stripper and the son of a wealthy Russian oligarch. It’s a fast-paced movie that won both the Academy Award for Best Picture at the Oscars and the Palme d’Or in Cannes in 2024. If you would like to attend, please sign up here or contact Fabian Wendt (fabianwendt@nullvt.edu).

October 19, 2026 (6:30 pm): Playtime

Jacques Tati’s magnum opus from 1967 is a meticulously choreographed satirical comedy about modern life with minimal dialogue and no traditional plot. November 5, 2026 (6:30 pm): Meek’s Cutoff
