PPE Research Fellows: 2020-2021

The Kellogg Center for Philosophy, Politics, and Economics offers fellowships that support interdisciplinary research in PPE and provide scholars with the opportunity to present their work to faculty and students. The Center is pleased to announce this year’s research fellows.

Eric Bahel is an Associate Professor in Economics. His research interests include social choice, game theory, environmental and resource economics.

David Bieri is an Associate Professor in SPIA. His research interests lie at the intersection of regional economics, public finance, and economic geography.

Binio Binev is an Assistant Professor in Political Science. His research interests include economic liberalization, political parties, popular response to market reform.

Melinda Miller is an Assistant Professor in Economics. Her research interests include economic history, racial inequality, and demography.

Byron Tsang is an Associate Professor in Economics. His research interests lie in the history of economic thought, in particular Adam Smith.

Philip Yaure is an Associate Professor in Philosophy. His research interests lie in the history of African American political philosophy and emancipatory politics.

PPE Research Fellows are active members in the PPE community at Virginia Tech and help to bring new perspectives to the Center through their research, teaching, and outreach.
