Call for Applications: PPE Research Fellowships 2022-2023

The Kellogg Center for Philosophy, Politics, and Economics will offer several research fellowships for the academic year 2022-2023. The fellowships are mainly (but not exclusively) for PPE affiliated faculty members.

The primary goal of the PPE Research Fellowships is to support interdisciplinary research in PPE (broadly construed) and provide scholars with the opportunity to present their work on and off campus. The fellowships typically run for one year (August 10 to August 9) and will include a research/travel budget to support scholarly work. In addition, the Center will help to advance the visibility of the fellows’ research through outreach. Here are the profiles of our current research fellows and some of the projects of past fellows (please see herehere, and here).

PPE research fellows will be selected by the PPE Stakeholders Committee based on the promise and impact of the candidates’ proposed research projects, potential for collaboration with PPE faculty, potential for external research funding, engagement of PPE students in research and teaching, and advancement of the Center’s mission more generally. The Center strongly supports principles of inclusion and diversity.

Any tenure-track or collegiate faculty member with a Ph.D. in a PPE-related field may apply for a PPE Research Fellowship. Please submit your CV and a two-page summary of your research interests and proposed research project for the fellowship period. The research summary should address the fellowship selection criteria (above) and include a brief budget (on average up to $3,000 may be awarded per fellowship). Faculty members who currently hold a PPE Research Fellowship cannot apply for this cycle.

Please submit your application by March 31, 2022 to Holly Belcher (hollymb2@nullvt.edu) and direct any questions concerning the fellowships to Michael Moehler (moehler@nullvt.edu).
